The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness and provides valuable training. CERT participants learn about hazards in their area, disaster preparedness tactics, and basic disaster response skills, including:
- Fire Safety
- Light Search and Rescue
- Team Organization
- Disaster Medical Operations
Volunteer Opportunities for individuals 18 years or older:
- CERT VOLUNTEERS MUST COMPLETE A CERT BASIC TRAINING COURSE.
- Submit a CERT Volunteer Application
- Volunteer interviews may vary depending on staff availability.
- Complete a Fingerprint and Background Check at (no cost to you)
(Other forms of background documentation may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.)
